house update

uuhhh....This is what happened when the roofers hit a pipe with their lethal nail gun....

Needless to say, the house closing has been slightly delayed. Which is a bit frustrating, since it feels like we'er on a time crunch. Thank God we don't have to be out of our rental 'till the end of October. The good thing about all this is that we're going to get a new kitchen from this mess! We didn't have the budget to do that, so I was just going to paint the cabinets. Well, the cabinet doors are all ruined. So, I guess new cabinets are worth the delay. We will also be getting new carpet in the formal living and dining rooms.
At least the roof looks good!!!! lol

daddy's lil cheerleader

Louisville football has started and Jolie insisted on being a lil Cardinal cheerleader... cuz they need all the cheering they can get!!! (but shhhh....don't tell daddy)
They're just happens to be a game the same night we close on the house. Which is this Friday!!! Friday, September 26th we will proudly be home-owners! We already have plans to start a few projects. This weekend we will be tearing out old paneling from the dining/kitchen and drywalling with the help from our good friend Steve. And lot's of painting! Our big project will be the flooring....which I will be installing with greatly appreciated help from Mom and Dad.
Pictures coming soon!

radio flyer

Jolie and I went for a 'lil walk today....and Jolie rode in her new red wagon. I think she loved it. The only bad part about is that it is so hot out...it's August!
yeah...it's August...which means Jolie is 7 months old!
I am so thankful for such a beautiful healthy girl. The amazing love and joy God has givin us, is only more evident when I look at this little miracle...growing more and more with each day. I love her personality....happy and full of giggles. Sweet and loving.
7 months brings a whole new game....babbling...crawling...pulling herself up...curious.
Mark and I need to baby proof the house! asap!

da da da

Jolie said "da da da da" for the first time yesterday. She has become quite the babbler in the past week or so. Whenever we are driving in the car, she is talking up a storm in the backseat. Or at home playing with Mommy and Daddy....da da da ...ya ya...da. When Mark got home from work yesterday and heard Jolie say her first words, her swore he heard "daddy". I'll let him believe it. :) Now I need to get her to say "ma ma ma".

hmmmm....which pair?

Have you ever heard the expession "New shoes cure the blues"?
Here are few pics of the lil princess and all her shoes....
I wonder if she'll have a shoe fetish like her momma. :)
Now Jolie just needs to decide which pair to wear....or maybe she just wants to play!

wisconsin

I'm finally getting around to posting a few pics of our trip to Wisconsin. We've been home for a about a week now but on the go since! Jolie traveled very well for a lil 6 month old bebe. :) The plane ride was fun...to say the least! She wasn't the screaming baby....but she wanted to get into everything! and being seated in the middle made it a lil rough to keep her out of our neighbors goodies that she just had to have. :) The trip was too short, as always. But I so enjoyed seeing family and a few friends. Mom had a few days off, so we spent a lot of time with Mom and visiting Dad at the campground. Grandma Davis hosted a lil cookout at her place to get everyone together. Aunt Tina and Uncle Mike and Brian even made it out for dinner. Dinner was fun, but it can be tough to visit when lil JoJo has a 7pm bedtime....so I was torn.
It was so cute to see Eva and Jolie together. I kept thinking back to the movie Look Who's Talking...wondering what they were thinking. Jolie especially love their time swimming. I think Jolie is going to be a lil fish, like her momma. Mom and Dad couldn't keep me out of the water when I was little, swimming on my own by 1 1/2 ish. I guess I need to enroll Jolie into swimming lessons. :)
this is home....
She love all the attention from everyone...

Happy Father's Day Daddy!!! We Love you!!!
xoxox, Joile & Mommy
Jolie says gimmeeee!!!
I'm sure we'll be hearing alot of that through the years. :)

5 months

Jolie is 5 months old!

Tummy time! Jolie is rolling all over the place these days. The only frustrating part (for her) is that she hasn't quite figured out how to roll back over to her back again. At least once a night, I'll go in and save her from her tummy. :) and right back to sleep she goes. She's also acting like she really wants to scoot...so crawling is probably near!

She LOVES her jumperoo!!!! Here she is just laughing away...cutest thing ever!

Grandma Visits Jolie

Mom came to Florida for a few days! It's been a busy few weeks! Jolie got to see both grandmas in one week...such a spoiled lil girl, or as we call her "Princess". Grandma and Jolie spent the day together so I could go to the hair show in Orlando. They had so much fun together! I wish she could babysit more often....she cooked...she cleaned....it was fabulous! Jolie loved all the attention! such a lil ham! Grandma gave Jolie a new red wagon that we can't wait to try out. Oh, and Jolie's new thing is a fake cough. :)
