straight talk

Do have bulky, fizzy, out-of-control hair?
Do you want your hair to be sleek, shiny, silky?
Get rid of frizz with the Keratin Straightening Treatment!
Straightens wave or softens curls up to 3 months and makes hair much more manageable!
I have been doing Keratin Hair Treatments for about a year. And I just have to say that I have been very happy with the results! I have several clients who LOVE this treatment and keep it up about every 4 months. The treatment typically last about 3 months. It's great for anyone who has unmanageable hair. It will cut your styling time in half.
I can't believe how fast the last year has gone by! I have been at Pink & Whites Salon for one year!!! I had my one year anniversary in September. :)
I love my job! I love the gals (and guy) I work with!
I was so nervous and scared to move to a new salon. and nervous to become self-employed. But I knew I could do it! I am so very very happy and thankful to be right where I am.

sunday

In God's great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade - kept in heaven for you. 1 Peter 1:3-4
Sunday was such a great reminder of where our hope comes from. We can have faith in His power, His plan, and His unconditional love.
Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God, that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:39
Mark worked Saturday night, so this Sunday was a girls day. Jolie and I matched. :) I didn't get a picture...then it was too late. She was all sweaty from running around the courtyard with her friends....in the almost 100 degree heat. We had lunch with some great friends. I love Sundays. I love going to church. hearing the word. worship. seeing our church family. Jolie loves it too. She gets to have fun and learn in the preschool classroom.
This past Sunday was a day I reflected on just how blessed we are. Blessed by His unconditional love and blessed to have a family here in Jax.
This was my 'Sunday hair'...what do you think? ;)
Jolie wore a pink flower. We were matchy-matchy.

heidi + alan = ♥

One week after I came home from the desert, our friends
Heidi & Alan tied the knot!
Mark and Alan have worked together for just over a year. I guess one night at work, Alan asked if Mark would officiate the ceremony. Such a honor for Mark! I think Mark was really excited to be part of their big day. Mark and I make a great little team! :) He officiated the ceremony, and I did the hair for the beautiful bride and bridesmaids.

isn't that precious

tonight's little project:

making hair clippies for Jolie....and some other very cute little girls I know!
I am totally amateur when it come to bow making...but I think they turned out cute.

The upper left corner: cupcake clippies
Jolie has the cutest shirt that says 'lil cupcake'...my inspiration. :)

The lower left corner: hounds tooth clippies
Jolie and her cousins are going to be dressed up for Grandma Davis' 90th birthday party.
I've been told (not sure if mom was supposed to tell me) that the dresses have hounds tooth ribbons. cute!

and then flowers...very typical for me.
Jolie was always the baby with a big flower headband.
FYI....headbands don't work anymore! They may last for about....
5 minutes!!!!!

1940's victory roll

so....I had a request from a neighbor for 1940's victory rolls..... She is going to be a 1940's pin-up girl for Halloween...

I had never even attempted to do a 'victory roll'. I love the 1940's hair styles....I love vintage. So I practiced on myself...and it this is how it came out! pretty cute...

I'm a 1940's housewife ;)

2009 or 1949?
